BookMyInstructor ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at bookmyinstructor.co.uk (the "Platform"). We are a UK-based online marketplace that connects learner drivers ("Learners") with DVSA-approved driving instructors ("Instructors"). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 17 years old to register as a Learner and at least 18 years old to register as an Instructor. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these age requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. Instructors must hold a valid DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) licence for the duration of their registration on the Platform.
BookMyInstructor acts solely as an intermediary marketplace. We do not employ Instructors, provide driving tuition, or guarantee the outcome of any lessons. The driving instruction contract is formed directly between the Learner and the Instructor. We are not a party to that contract and accept no liability for the quality, safety, or outcome of any lessons arranged through the Platform.
You must create an account to book or list lessons. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When a Learner books a lesson, they may pay either a deposit (20% of the lesson fee) or the full amount. Payment constitutes acceptance of the Instructor's terms for that lesson. BookMyInstructor does not hold client funds; payments are processed directly by Stripe and disbursed to Instructors in accordance with Stripe's payout schedule.
Instructors acknowledge that BookMyInstructor may charge a platform service fee, which will be communicated separately. All prices displayed on the Platform are in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and inclusive of VAT where applicable.
The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings made through the Platform:

Refunds are processed automatically via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account. BookMyInstructor reserves the right to modify this policy with 30 days' notice.
Learners may leave reviews only for lessons they have completed through the Platform. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and not defamatory. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe to be false. Instructors must not offer incentives for positive reviews or request the removal of legitimate negative reviews.
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) post false, misleading, or fraudulent information; (c) circumvent the Platform to arrange bookings or payments outside of it with the intent to avoid Platform fees; (d) harass, abuse, or threaten other users; (e) scrape, copy, or redistribute Platform content without our written consent; or (f) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure.
All content on the Platform — including the BookMyInstructor name, logo, design, text, and software — is owned by or licensed to BookMyInstructor and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookMyInstructor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to BookMyInstructor in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
